Not sure why when I open my mp3 so I may edit the file and trim it down the functions under the edit tab are greyed out. Please see the picture attached

Dear user,

The edit tab options are greayed out because there is nothing to Copy/Paste/Delete/Cut or Undo/Redo.
The features Copy, Delete, Cut will be available after you select an area to copy, delete or cut with your mouse coursor on the waveform.
The feature Paste will be available after you copy an object that can be pasted afterwards.
The feature Undo or Redo will be active after you make any changes to your audio.

Right on. I guess this applies to all editing software. I've used around 4 softwares to date already and all of them is similar in terms of functionality.

Thanks Nat, I was clicking on just one end of the waveform thinking that was the trim point instead of selecting the entire segment to trim from start to end. thanks for the help
