It's only happened on one file, but two different "versions" of the file. I re-burnt the file to my computer twice, two different resolutions. Both of them seem to not want to be converted. Each time I open the file with AVS Video Converter I get an error saying there's a file format error.

Any idea what to do next? My program is currently updated to the most recent version (checked after reading the forums), and I can play the file just fine on my computer.

Hello,

To avoid the problem we would ask you to launch the attached utility on your PC. This utility will update AVS software components installed on your PC.
1. Save the attached .exe file on your PC.
2. Close all running AVS applications and launch the utility.
3. Follow the instructions given.
4. When the installation is complete new updated software components will be installed on your computer.

Please let us know about the results.

Best regards.

I believe I spoke too soon. The program now opens the file just fine but when I attempt to convert it to a high quality format, it converts 4.00 kb then stops saying the conversion was completed. The file is roughly 5.8 gb in size. I'm using 64 bit OS as well (saw this mentioned in a previous post somewhere).

Hello,

Try to provide some additional information about the error:

- describe your actions step by step

- specify to which format you convert and which presets you select

- specify whether the issue remains while converting to any format

- attach a screenshot of your PC configuration: right-click My Computer, choose Properties, make a screenshot of the General tab.

Best regards.

- Right click the file, click "Open With" and select Video Converter, click Convert Now, wait about one minutes and the program says the file was completed.

- Converting from MKV and to MPEG,( HD Video, 720p - MPEG-2, 9000 kbps, 1280X720, 29.97 fps)

- I attempted to convert to a WMV as well. I also attempted two different MKV files and both did the same thing.

- Several screen shots attached showing my progress through the process.

Hello,

To avoid the problem please completely uninstall AVS4YOU software from your PC. Instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow the link below and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it. It is highly recommended to leave the default option "Delete license key-files" checked:
http://www.avs4you.com/downloads.aspx

3. Download the latest versions of the necessary programs from our website:

Dear user,

Please specify the origin of the file you need to process. Is it MKV file?

Can you playback the file on any of your PC players without any problems?

Specify the name of the file and version of the program you use.

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards
