Hi, accidently I erased the folder "backgrounds" in the Media Library (AVS Video Editor) with all the sample backgrounds.
I have tried to re-install the programme - but the backgrounds-folder is gone.

Please help me with finding the folder with all the backgrounds :) It is very frustrating...

Hello,

You should clean up the following folder:

For Win XP - C:\Documents and Settings\[Your user name]\Application Data\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoEditor\Data

For Win Vista - C:\Users\[Your user name]\AppData\Roaming\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoEditor\Data

It will restore Media Library to default.

Regards.

I just viewed the vidoe tutorial on how to fade in and out a video clip, to a colord background. I am using Windows 7, Video Editor 6.x, and I cannot find the "backgrounds" folder anywhere. Your post says to "clean" the folders -- what does that mean in restoring or installing the backgrounds folder?

Backgroudns folder is one of default folders in AVS Video Editor. If you don't find it, that means that you have previously deleted it somehow. Cleaning up the folders I mentioned restore Media Library folders to default. However, please note that you will loose imported into media library files in this case.

Help, I have lost my media files as well. But a path to the directories to clear was not included for Windows 10. Would you provide the path for me, Please?

I found where to clear the data! On windows 10, use the search box in the toolbar and search on Roaming and the system found it.
