I am trying to convert a dvd to avi to post on you tube. every time i try to do so it says " Can not create file. Probably your output file has a read only attribute or it is occupied with another application or you used a invalid name for your file etc

First close all other running applications.
Try choosing another directory on your hard disc for the output file. Make sure you have administrative permissions to save files to this directory.

If this does not help, try adding another file to the program. Choose the same parameters as before and try to convert the file. Do you get the same error?

In case these recommendations are not helpful, please attach a screenshot of the program showing the output file path.

Regards.

Please use the recommendations provided in my previous post.
Make sure you are using the latest version of AVS Video Converter.
