I am trying to run AVS Video Editor 7.2.1.269 on a Windows 7 system. The Windows system is a virtual machine
running on a Linux host using Oracle VirtualBox 5.0.

When I import a video or image, the thumbnail shows correctly in the media library. However the preview window is
always blank. If I add a video or image to the timeline and preview it, the time counter increments correctly but again the
preview window remains blank. The properties of the video are as expected.

Videos display correctly with other programs e.g.Media Player.

In Windows Device Manager, the display adapter name is "VirtualBox Graphics Adapter". Inside the VM settings,
the video memory is set to 128MB, and 2D and 3D acceleration are enabled (disabling these made no difference).

Is there a way to get Video Editor working properly inside a VirtualBox VM?

Thanks
Nat

Dear user,

Unfortunately we have not tested such virtual machine and cannot guarantee AVS4YOU functionality on it.

What you can try to do is update or reinstall video and audio card drivers in Linux.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

Kind regards
