I finished a 9 hour long project, and AVS crashed right before I hit Publish. I don't have too much of an issue with starting over because I now know where cuts need to be made, but every time I import the media files, it tries to Cache again, even though the cache files are already there. The caching process is what took the longest, and I don't have another 9 hours to spend on this.

Is there any way to force AVS to use the Cache files it already built?

Dear user,

What you need to do is set a permanent cache - press the Edit button on the top toolbar - choose Settings - Environment tab - check the option "Permanent cache" - see the screenshot attached.

Please reopen AVS Video Editor and produce your project into a file.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

Kind regards
