I have a DVD format file on my HD, that has two chapters, and I wanted to output the two chapters as two mp4 files. I followed all the instructions, and specified split by chapters, and mp4 as output. But, the result was only one mp4 file, with both chapters merged into the one output mp4. According to your own instructions, I should have had two mp4 files in the folder, one for each chapter, but it would not work like that. what could I be doing wrong, when I followed your steps exactly, but it would not give me a two mp4 files, one for each chapter of the input file?

Dear user,

To avoid the problem please completely uninstall AVS4YOU software from your PC. Instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it.

3. Download the latest versions of the necessary programs from our website:

Why is this always the answer, and just a downloading of the new release is not enough? I don't know of any other software I have, that requires what you said to do. that's a lot of trouble, just to get your new releases to work correctly?

Hello Rodney!

To ensure the latest components of AVS Software are installed on your PC, I'd still recommend you to follow these instructions.

Also please make sure you import VIDEO_TS.IFO file of DVD Video structure and follow these instructions to set the chapters correctly.

In case the problem still persists, please <1> attach a screenshot of the program window when you set chapters and select split option; <2> specify whether the issue appears only with this particular original video or not.
