I'm getting a file format error on a .wmv file in both Video Converter 9.1 and trying to import into Video Editor. The file plays fine with Windows Media Player.

I ran the Update Manager to make sure I had current versions of everything before running Converter and Editor.

I did the unstall/reinstall following the steps described. No change in behavior - I'm still getting the same error.

Dear user,

Please specify the origin of the .wmv file you are trying to convert.

Do you have any problems with other files of the same and different format?

Thank you for the information.

Kind regards

I don't know the origin of the file. It was made by someone else in the company. I don't know what kind of camera it was shot with or how it was converted to a .WMV. What I do know is that it plays fine with Windows Media Player - I'm watching it right now.
