I recorded some footage recently from my LG G4 (H812 - Canada)

These are the codec stats:
Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 3840x2160 29.917fps 29994kbps [V: VideoHandle [eng] (h264 high L5.1, yuv420p, 3840x2160, 29994 kb/s)]
Audio: AAC 48000Hz stereo 155kbps [A: SoundHandle [eng] (aac lc, 48000 Hz, stereo, 155 kb/s)]

When I drag it onto the Timeline, AVS Video Editor thinks for a moment and then crashes.

I saw in another thread that you have an FTP server to upload ornery footage to. Would that help your devs?

Do you guys have a beta section? I'm willing to test beta versions to see if they work properly.

I've sent a request similar to this to the support system - AVS Video Editor crashes when trying to cache 4K vids, on a PC which plays them perfectly. Can you review and advise please.

I just updated to the newest version, and now AVS Video Editor won't even start. I'll try reinstalling it.

Last that I checked, 4K still wasn't properly supported.

Dear Kramy,

The problem may occur due to the lack of memory necessary for conversion.

Please try to split your project into 2 or 3 parts and create the video once again.

If this does not help please try to follow the recomendations below:

1. Switch off Intel Media Codec (Edit/ Settings/ processing/ Intel Media Codec/ choose disable) and set up single thread conversion (Edit/ Settings/ processing/ put a marker on single thread conversion)
2. Disable Show line groups and Show sound wave form (Edit/ Settings/ Edit/ remove the markers from Disable Show line groups and Show sound wave form)

3. Unzip the file in the attachment and run it by double clicking on it, ino\form about the result please.

Please inform about the result.

Kind regards

When I bring a 4K source to the editing board, I get a pop-up that says: "File type not supported". But when I click "OK", the video is there on the storyboard, in an empty box. If I click "Produce", I can take it the rest of the way through the process.
