Hello Guys,

I am facing an irritating problem but can't figure out how to fix it.
I made videos with my phone in HD, 1920x1080, aspect ratio 16x9, every video purposedly sideways.
When I import any video, AVS automatically rotates them by 90*, changing the aspect ratio to 9x16, 1080x1920, therefore the videos are not sideways anymore, but bottom-top. (Photo 1)

If I change the aspect ratio back to 16x9, the video stays bottom-top, problem still remains. (photo 2)

Adding rotation effect by 90* makes the video shrink even more and makes the resolution crappy (photo 3).

If I force the file in the media library to have an aspect ratio of 16x9 instead of 9x16 (photo 4), it simply streches the already rotated video and completely ruins it (photo 5).
At photo 6 you can see how the original video should look like (not rotated).
At this point I'm totally out of ideas. I don't understand why AVS automatically rotates the imported video, and how can I make it stop?!

Please help,
Emthy

Hi Emthy, were you able to send the file here yet? I was wondering if there's already a fix for this.

Dear user,

Yes we have received the files, the issue was, the video was recorded 90 degrees (vertically) using a smart phone and AVS4YOU software recognizes it correctly.
Some players rotate such videos automatically.
It is possible to apply the Rotate, then Zoom effect to such videos to fit the screen in AVS Video Converter, detailed instructions on how to do it can be found following the link below:

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

Kind regards
