The gods have decided that I shouldn't finish this video project. Due tomorrow morning.

I'm using AVS Video Editor 6.5 and whenever I try to "produce" the file, my laptop gives me this pretty little love note:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error
Runtime Error!
Program C:/ Program Files (x...
R6025
-pure virtual function call"

And then AVS Video Editor gives me this other little note:

"Error
An internal error was encountered (code: 65536). Please contact the support service if this error persists"

You're not allowed to use a period outside of a parenthesis like that!

What's going on? Can I fix it? How do I get around it? Is it possible?

Thanks

Dear user,

New versions of AVS4YOU software have just been released. Many problems have been resolved there, thus we recommend you to reinstall following precisely the instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it.

3. Download and install the latest version of AVS Video Editor from our website:
http://avs4you.com/downloads.aspx

Inform about the result please.

Kind regards

Additionally. It would also help I think if you can try to reinstall Runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries on Microsoft if AVS reinstall doesn't fix it for you.

I followed the instructions -deleted all copies of AVS and reinstalled latest versions as of (29 Aug). Also uninstalled all C++ libraries found in programs (in control panel) and reinstalled latest versions. I still get the same error as above. Please help...

Thanks up front

Well, I can no longer burn DVD either. After file conversion (when prompted to burn the disc), I get n error -AVSDiscCreator.exe "Abnormal Program Termination"

Any thoughts?

Dear user,

Thank you for the information.

Please try to provide some additional information about the issue: specify the program you use and its version, describe your actions step by step and specify the moment the problem occurs, specify the format and origin of the file you are trying to convert, can it be played on any of your PC players?

Do you have any problem with other programs?

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards

Well,

It appears all is better. After manually updating the C++ libraries... and reinstalling all the AVS software. I couldn't get anything to open. I performed a windows update and noticed that the C++ libraries still required updating... and did so, then reinstalled the AVS software again. And no problem since.
