I’ve looked on the forum and cannot find a post for this AVS Disc Creator type of error I am having. Please help me resolve this problem.

AVS Disc Creator stops and a box comes up saying:
AVS Disc Creator
Error: code59
A recording error has occurred while performing the operation. The error could be caused by a bad quality disc or a disc incompatible with the drive.

See attached image.

Can anyone help?
Thanks

Hello,

Please try using another disc (we recommend using DVD-R discs of quality brands).

If the issue persists, please completely uninstall AVS Software.
Instructions below:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.

2. Follow this link and download the utility
http://support.avs4you.com/GetFile.aspx?DocumentID=168498-647
that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it. It is highly recommended to leave the default option "Delete license key-files" checked.

3. Download the latest versions of the necessary programs from our website:
http://avs4you.com/downloads.aspx
Now install the software on your PC anew.

If it does not solve the issue please contact us again and specify your PC configuration (OS, CPU, Ram).

Best regards.

When I use DVD -r 4.7 or BD blanks it works okay, only when I use a DVD +r DL 8.5 GB blank is when I get the error.

Dear User,

The possible error reason is disc could not be recorded.

To avoid this problem in the future, please, make use of the following recommendations:

See whether the DMA mode is enabled for the used drive. See the Help file on how to find out the current DMA mode status.

If such a problem appears with the same disc or with the discs from the same lot, you should try and use a different disc for the recording. To assure the compatibility with the different drives, it is recommended to use low-speed discs from known manufacturers.
DVD-RW 1x-2x, DVD-R 4x and slower.
DVD+RW 2.4x, DVD+R 2.4-4x
It is right for most of the DVD-RW drives produced before 2005.

Please inform about the result.

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards
