Can you be more specific as to which AVS programs are compatible with Windows 8. I just downloaded the all in one installation and only 4 of the 9 programs are usable. Thanks

Almost all AVS4YOU software is compatible with Windows 8.

Those that are not compatible are: AVS Cover Editor, AVS DVD Copy, AVS Registry Cleaner, AVS Ringtne Maker.
The functionality of AVS DVD Copy and AVS Ringtone Maker is included into other programs.

Please specify what problems you have using the software: specify the programs and their versions, specify the moment the problem occurs and attach the screenshot if you get any error messages.

Hi I have installed windows 8 pro on a acer aspire 7745g-6845 (laptop).
Then I installed AVS4YOU (all products). I trying to record a DVD and I can't all the recording programs that I've tried give me multiple "initialization error" messages and once the program opens I see that the DVD drive is not loaded in the list.
My dvd drive is recognized in windows 8 and works.

Please advice what to do.

Dear user,

To avoid the problem please try to delete all traces of AVS4YOU software from your PC:

1. Go Start > All Programs > AVS4YOU > Uninstall. Please make sure to click the "Check All" button.
2. Follow this link and download the utility that will automatically remove all AVS software components from your PC. Save the utility on your computer and launch it. It is highly recommended to leave the default option "Delete license key-files" checked.

3. Download and install the latest versions of AVS4YOU software and try to use it, inform about the result.

Please note that the program needs to create a file first saving it to some folder on your harddrive and when the conversion process is completed, AVS Video Burner will start burning the video to a disk. That is why it is not possible to select a DVD drive as output folder.

How about for Windows 8.1 please. Can anyone confirm this or at least tried this out already? From what I know, 8.1 imposed a lot of security changes in the OS itself.

All the latest versions of AVS4YOU software are fully compatible with Windows 8.1.
The products that are not compatible are: AVS Cover Editor, AVS DVD Copy, AVS Ringtone Maker, which functionality is available in other AVS4YOU applications.

I upgraded a computer from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1, fresh install of Windows 8, then installed the latest Audio Editor and the text to speech is not working but it did in Windows 7
