I had a similar problem. There would be multiple files in the VIDEO_TS directory that would play in the media player but the burnt Disc would only contain 1 file and would not play. I was selecting the wroung DVD format on Produce Menu. I selected HD 60 min Disc. I was using the standard definition 120min. Disc. Worked fine after I selected the correct media.

Hope this helps you. This software is better than two other packages I purchased at Office Max and since unistalled.

Oh yeah, make sure the VTS file with extention BUP is on the disc. That is the file that contains the menu information.

Hello,

Please make sure you enabled the Disc Menu option before creating menu. Please also specify to which format you convert and which presets you select and what player you use to play back created video.

Best regards.

fotophun:

I do see a BUP extention

By the way, BUP file is just a backup file of IFO file and most dvd players read menu from IFO file.

I have another problem regarding disc menus. I"ve been having a problem where, during the "produce" function, as a "final" step before the "burn" step , VE goes through "Finalizing Disc menu...Please wait". It never comes back from this step. This message can appear for hours and hours (over-night in one case) and VE just "hangs" there. When I "stop" it and burn the disc, the menu does NOT appear on the disc. I tried a 30 sec "test" movie with the "disc menu" function and it worked ok. Has anyone run into this problem too? I've sent a number of messages to tech support but have gotten no response!

[I followed the instructions sent to me to completely uninstall my AVS software, followed by a reload. Doing this solved (I think) part of the problem. However, I am now stuck with an un-activated version of VE and it seems the only way I can re-activate it is to pay another $59 "registration" fee, which is not right! Also, the problem with "Finalizing Disc Menu.. please wait" still has not been resolved! As I said, I think the "chaptering" issue has been resolved but I cannot prove it because I have not been able to create a disc with a menu on it.
