I didn't get a response from support and it's been over a week so I"m posting this here.

I imported video clips (in FLV format) into AVS video editor that I had previously created and converted (.MOV to .FLV) using AVS video editor. However, when I tried to play these clips within AVS video editor or tried to alter them and then produce them, I got a runtime error message. (I've attached a screenshot of the error message to this email.) I can open/play/edit/produce clips (in FLV) that I didn't use AVS video editor to create, but can't with the clips I did use AVS video editor to create.

When I import these clips that aren't working they show up in AVS video editor but where a shot of the clip should be showing, it's black. (I've attached a screenshot where the first imported video is a workable clip that I didn't edit with AVS and the second imported clip is a problematic one that I did edit with AVS.)

I've also attached one of the problematic clips. (FYI-the video clip is supposed to only be around 2 seconds long)

I have done some troubleshooting, and this message/problem seems to appear only when I save/produce the clips in a .FLV format. When I repeated the process with .AVI and .MPEG the problem didn't exist.

How can I get these clips to play/let me edit and produce them?

Thank you Vlad.
I have followed the instructions given to me in the support system and no change occurred.
I still run into the same problem with the same error message.
I have conveyed this to the support system but I will also post it here to hopefully hasten a reply.
Many thanks.

Could you please please re-attach the clip and screenshot in your first message, but compress tham to zip archive at first. The attachments have not gone through.

Should you need any assistance, please feel free to contact us.

On my wish list, I would like to be able to use any function (editing, converting, etc.) w/out the program having a "runtime error", so that you can take as long as needed to make a DVD, & to use all of the available featrures your software gives. Thank you.

The runtime error usually occurs when I'm converting FLV files to DVD (using Video Converter), after about 3 hours (3 hours worth of material going on a disc), which is usually after about 1.5 hours of actual working time in the editing mode. (Sorry about the run-on sentence!)

Hello,

Thank you for the details. Could you please notice mem usage for AVS Video Editor in Task Manage>Processes>Mem Usage column at the moment when the program begins producing video and at the moment when the error occurs.

Best regards.

As it turns out, I can't even get to the conversion stage, b/c I can't see anything in the preview window AT ALL @ the beginning of the editing process.

It is seems that preview problem is connected with your PC configuration as discussed in this topic.
