Just updated to V7 and now all my settings for av to xvid are lost and I can't find a valid file conversion setting for a sony fx875 dvd player ( DIVX certified) to play the file. Any pointers please?

Please check users folders. Do you have amy files in them?

User folder for Windows XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Application Data\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoConverter\Customprofiles

User folder for Windows Vista,7:
C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\AVS4YOU\AVSVideoConverter\Customprofiles

Good evening Vlad,

Thanks for reply - yeh they're there - sorry just pointed VC at them and alls well. As to the matter of a valid conversion setting - I've solved that as well.
If you have a 720x576 original video for conversion with a XVID codec, the 'original' option gives you a frame size of 768x576, which is not a 'correct' xvid setting. Hence no matter what you try, it will not play on a XVID machine. Perhaps with your next update, you might ensure that original means original!

Hello Chris,

Could you please specify what exact profile do you select with xvid codec in AVS Video Converter, so that we could test the issue. Do you have this problem converting files only with 720x576 resolution? What is the format of the files?

Regards.
