I have AVS Image Converter 1.2.1.100 running on Windows 7 x64. I followed all the directions for renaming a group of photo files, but the "Rename" is greyed out with a small blue circle next to it. The circle has a small "x" in it. What am I doing wrong?

OOPS! It did work. I expected the file names in the viewer to have changed, but they didn't. When I checked the output folder, the files were there and renamed. Sorry.

I have just purchased 1 x AVS4YOU Unlimited Subscription and, at the moment, use mostly the AVS Image Converter.

I find it very useful but I am a little disappointed in the image numbering system in that it starts at 001 each time I use it. I would rather have seen a user starting number system so that I could number a batch of images, following those I have already numbered, starting with the appropriate number. Maybe thought for a future update?

Dear George,

Thank you for the suggestion. I will surely pass it over to our developers.
Unfortunately for now we can not tell you the time this feature may be available.

Following this link you can find the renaming options that are now available.

Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance to you.

Kind regards

Nat

Thanks for your reply and for passing the suggestion on to your developers.

Unfortunately, I find that any of the current renaming options are limited in their use particularly should I wish to process more than one batch per day.

However, until such other feature may become available, it's "Make do and mend" as the saying goes.

Thanks again.

George ;-)

That's a nice one to say. But has anyone found a work around to this yet?

When I import a group of files to rename, they losse their order - and the result will be a chaos. I found the same in "AVS Audio Converter: Typically scrambling 123456 into 456123. I learned to fix this by reordering manually. Impossible for 200 or more pictures. I'm looking fo help (since Win "Photo Editor" doesn't exist!!!) Thanks for your answer!

Dear user,

Please try to provide some additional information about the issue:
- describe your actions step by step,
- specify the version of AVS Photo Editor you use,
- specify the folder your files are located.

Thank you for cooperation.

Kind regards
