I have not tried different files, however, when i convert from a standard 700mb .avi movie to standard DVD .vob, towards the end of conversion (between 85-95%) the conversion grinds to a snails pace. I have a i5 750 overclocked to 3.8ghz and 4gb of 1600mhz ram.

Estimated time on conversion is usually 7-9 minutes, but once it hits "the wall" it slows down dramatically and the whole conversion takes about 20minutes. Even though the estimated time left on AVS never actually changes. It says 2 minutes left...but it really takes another 10-15. Glitchy.

Task manager says cpu usage is 40-60% during conversion...untill it hits "the wall" and cpu usage drops to 1-5%.

Ram usage hovers between 1.8-2.2 gb in Task manager.

Any suggestions?

I just saw a thread on this forum http://forum.avs4you.com/posts.aspx?lng=ENG&t=2036, with people having the same problem as me. It would appear it is part of the natural process for AVS.

So the answer for me is: There is nothing i can do about this it would seem.

If i could get someone to concur this with and i will be good.

Thank you for your time.
