Hello all,

I have a video with sound and an mp3 audio track that I would like to merge.

The sound from both is fine when listened to individually but once I use the AVS Video Editor to watch (before i merge them) the audio from the mp3 file has an "echo" effect to it. I even played the audio file through the AVS Video Editor without the video and it was fine. Only when playing both the video AND the mp3 file did the echo effect occur.

I looked at the file info and in the properties area it is listed as a 1 channel item.

My theory is that the video editor, when playing with the video, is dupicating the audio file to "equalize" the sound.

Am I close on this assesment and is there a way to fix it?

Thanks,
Clayton

Hello,

AVS Video Editor does not duplicate the audio to equlize sound.

Perhaps, when your mp3 audio track plays with sound from video file simultaneously, it sounds like echo. What is the origin of your mp3 file? Could you please attach it to your message in zip archive if it less that 10 mb?

Best regards.

Thanks for the offer of help.
I just realized what happened.

I played the mp3 i was going to insert by itself, no problem.

i played it in the AVS software with the video muted, no problem

I played it with the video not muted, echo effect.

I finally played the video without the mp3 and the sound from the mp3 was already put into the video, hence the echo when I played it with the mp3.

LOL, sorry to have bothered you but again thanks for the info.
