Ok it goes like this
Vista Ultimate 64Bit
QuadCore cpu
ATI Graphics card
Creative Xi-Fi sound card
Asus P5Q3 delux wi-fi motherboard

we'll start with this: my computer isn't stable to begin with, I get random blue screens around once a day, sometimes more sometimes less.
I've tried changing drivers but I can't figure it out. (anyone knows who can professionally diagnose computer minidumps?)

Anyway after saying that, when I use the AVS Video Converter it would randomly freezez my computer in such a way that the the entire computer isn't responding and the USB turns off (meaning keyboard/mouse)

As I said I've tried changing drivers here and there for the system without any effect and I basically gave up.
I'm not willing to reinstall, maybe installing windows 7 in the future in the hope that that will solve it.

I was wondering if you have more clue as to how to diagnose the problem and as to what I should do

Best Regards
Shachar

Yes, you need to do something about your system, getting blue screens randomly is no good.
