I am using a beta version of Windows 7 and noted that some programs work...some don't.

What is your plan relative to official support of Windows 7? Will all programs work under Windows 7 as of its release to public date, October 22?

Hi,
what doesn't work?
cehanlon@verizon.net:

They will of course, but thats a question of time.
There is no info about exact date.

There is still no Windows7 official support announced on the avs4you web site, but all latest versions seem to work on it (There may be some problems before global testing)

I dont know but I find for some disc operations, maybe ISO is one of them, I have to start programmes using the "run as administrator" mode.

With the release of Windows 7 today, I was wondering if there is anymore information on W7 support?
Has anyone used W7 64 bit? Any problems?

I am pleased to tell you that most of our newest programs now officially support Windows 7. You can check up which ones are compatible on the downloads page (note the comments on supported platforms).

Best regards

I am really glad to see that there is Windows 7 support now. How about 64-bit? Is the software that is listed as supported on Windows 7 supported on the 64-bit version of Windows 7?

It is, both 32- and 64-bit versions are supported.

Hey, guyz, are you going to have full support for Windows 7 any time soon? As far as I can see you are doing a great job and most of the apps already support Win 7. What about the rest of the staff? Reg clean for instance. I'd like to use this tool, but I'm running Win 7 64 and the cleaner does not want to install on my system. So are you going to develop this program and get it to support win 7?

Thanx. BTW I really enjoy using AVS :-)

Our developers are working on the 64-bit version at the moment, we hope to release it soon.
Thank you for your feedback.

Hi, I'm using AVS products for the first time setting them up on a new Toshiba i5 laptop. When I loaded the programs using all the default settings I found that my computer no longer recognised my dvd drive. I found that I had to restore my computer to a point before I loaded the AVS products to get the dvd drive back. I tried reloading with the default settings but the same thing occured. I have been able to load the Video converter without losing the dvd drive by not allowing the set up to integrate into the windows explorer (unticked that checkbox during installation). Is this normal with wondows 7 or do I have some other problem?

Integration into windows explorer menu should not affect dvd drive functionality. Therefore, I would recommend you to update disc drive drivers and install the latest firmware.

Reviving this dead horse, as I have just upgraded to a new W7 64bit machine from ibuypower.com - and am attempting to install all my software on the new box. VideoConverter from AVS4YOU is one of them ... and it's just hangs on the installer in a fresh install. There is no message - other than 'Registering Files' Has this installed/worked for anyone on an W7 64bit PC?

Same problem here. Just got a new laptop with W7 64bit, and Video editor is not working.

Contacted support but not fix yet.

May be looking for a refund soon!*SOS*
