I have a bunch of NeroDigital MP4 files that have playable video on my Xbox360, but my Xbox360 chokes on the 5.1 Surround Sound in the files. I'd like to be able to just copy the video without conversion, and convert just the audio to a WMA 5.1 SS.

MediaCoder will almost let me do this, but I can't get it to use the WMA CODEC.

Probably this will be possible in the next version of AVS Video ReMaker. For the moment, unfortunately, there is no option to edit audio of MP4 files without video conversion.

Best regards

Well, that sets up for the next question... When might that be?

A separate, but related, question: Is the 'AVS Video ReMaker' part of the complete suite install? I didn't see a shortcut to it in the start menu group for the AVS programs.

Thanks - Pat

As the current version of AVS Video ReMaker is quite out of date, it has not been included into the complete suite install, we will include the new version as soon as it comes out. Unfortunately, there is no exact deadline yet, but we do hope the program will be released in a couple of months, maybe at the end of autumn or even earlier.

Try using the new version of AVS Audio Editor we have just released - it has the function you need, as now it is possible to import videos into this program in order to edit audio and then save to the original format choosing between the audio format options available.

Hopefully, you will find this function useful.
