Hi...

it appears that the above DLL is incompatible to Terratec Home Cinema. Since I removed AVS software, the THC works like a charm where it previously crashed on start-up.

Does anybody have more info on this? - I'd love to use both, but without recording, there's not much to work with. That makes priorities rather simple.

Sorry for not replying earlier!

Try deleting AVSH264DSFilter.ax from the following directory: C:\Program Files\Common Files\AVSMedia\ActiveX\
Please inform us on the result.

Best regards

Hi...

I just re-installed AVS Video Converter 6.3.1.367. The file you mention is not there (a huge bunch of DLLs is, so I assume I'm in the right place :-)), it appears to work "out of the box" now.

I've tried starting and stopping THC 6.05.00.777 a few times now, so far it works.

Thanks! Your reaction was rather quick, as you can see, removing AVS had solved much of the initial problem.

Still, now I'm happy to have both back.

Best,

Grainger
