Hello,

Your computer meets minimum system requirements for AVS Video Editor and allows to use the program, you cant check them here. However, I it is quite weak to work with HD video files. Could you please specify which format you save videos to? Also, with how many files from your Go Pro HD do you work? What is their size?

Best regards.

I'm just using 2 clips at a time at the moment to play with as I'm still learning. I have two projects, both filmed on the hd cam, first project filmed in wvga @ 60fps, first clip mp4 file 18.3 mb second clip 21.8mb. Second project filmed on the hd cam, first clip 720p @ 60fps mp4 file, 56.7mb, second clip 960p @ 30fps mp4 file,46.1 mb.
I can import, add text, music, transitions, effects etc and it seems to work fine then suddenly it will crash and I lose the project completely. However I have had good success editing and saving video captured with my standard def camcorder.

So I'm looking at this Toshiba, is it safe to say this will run Editor 5 without issue? It seems to be the best bang for the buck but I would like a thumbs up before i hit the buy button. Thanks for your help thus far Vlad

Hello,

This toshiba is a good laptop and should run AVS Video Editor properly. But, unfortunately, I cannot say for certain if new AVS Video Editor 5 will work on it without issues, as we did'nt test the program on such laptops. As you may know laptops are quite "fickle".

Best regards.

so I bought a new comp, Intel Core i5-M430@2.27GHz/ 4GB DDR3/ 640GB/ NVidia GT windows 7 64bit
got a new licence from avs to install on this new comp......installed avs editor 5 , imported a couple clips
, started to simply view the clips and the computer had a major crash, worse than my old computer, total
system failure along with loud horrible noise similar to an amplifier turned up to max volume, like an electronic
buzzing? My friend borrowed me his Pinnacle studio hd ultimate 14 so I installed it on my new computer and it works
flawlessly, that tells me it's not the computer but rather defective software from AVS.
I do Like AVS editor better as it is easy to use compared to Pinnacle but I'm about at wits end with this..
any thoughts?

Hello,

Perhaps, there is a problem in our software working with some certain files. Therefore, could you please upload one of your clips to our ftp-server - It will allow us to reproduce and analize the problem. The instructions will be provided in our support system - http://support.avs4you.com

Also, please give few detials about the problem:

- describe you actions step by step before computer crash;
- did computer reboot when crashed or it go to BSOD?
- did AVS Video Editor give any error when computer crashed?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards.
